The indoor season began this weekend with the Irish U20 & U23 Championships, in Athlone.
As defending champion, Jamie Moffatt had high hopes and expectations in the U20 60m, however, his preparation was hampered by illness, injury & two car accidents (neither his fault) so, although he couldn’t quite match the heroics of last year, he did well to take silver in 6.96s.
Andrew Brown just missed out on a medal but leapt to a new PB with a best effort of 11.51m to finish 4th in the U20 triple jump
