Some of North Down AC’s youngest athletes were racing on Sunday 18th February in the second of the East Coast AC junior cross country races; in the mini races over 650m Reeya McQuillan was 2nd girl in 4:12 and Lochlainn Mair was 5th boy in 4:21.

In the junior girl’s race over 1720m Sophie Rankin 7:33 was 2nd, Caitlyn Dickenson 8:00 was 5th and Isla McQuillan 11:00 came 12th.

The battle of the day was in the junior boy’s race where Carter Rolston and Sebastian Mair were separated by only 1 second with Carter winning in 6:52 and Sebastian taking 2nd place in 6:53, while Isaac Hall also ran strongly for 7th place in 8:34.
