Round 2 in the Golden Four series was much like Round 1 with North Down running away with the Mens League and Lagan Valley with the Womens League. As usual these days North Down dominated the field events but still led the track points. Philip Browne and Kris Lockhart made their first appearances of the season, Michael Dyer went under distance and revealed some useful sprint speed while Jeremy Harper had his first shot putt since his shoulder operation – down on his best but enough to win and with an improved discus throw.
The men seem to be cruising to another Golden Four Series success but the women are highly unlikely to retain their title as for the second time, Kerry Iveston was the only scoring athlete.
