Michael McConkey broke the javelin 60 metre barrier today in Bedford when he threw 62.29m to finish 3rd in the AAA of England U23 Championship. Training partner Laura Kerr was 2nd in the womens event with 46.75m while Zoe Brown won the pole vault with 4.05m.
On Saturday there was a third in the womens U20 hammer by Rhiannon McNally who trains with Richard Lockhart. The timing was such for Rhiannon to fly to Cork and win the AAI Junior hammer on Sunday.
