Sun suits Kiki

With the tedious journey to Tullamore long since losing its attraction, not many from the club who were qualfied to attend did so. There were however two excellent doubles from David Keys and Kiki Malomo-Paris. David won the U17 discus with 42.74m and the hammer with 49.38m but it was really Kiki’s weekend. She had two big pbs in taking the U15 sprint double. Her 12.83 secs at 100m took a fifth of a second off her electric pb and with it Amy Foster’s club U15 record. Her 200m time of 26.42secs was even more of a improvement taking her from outside the top ten lists to second U15 behind Hannah Lewis earlier in this season.

Kiki has been chased home all season by her own club training partners and Tullamore was no exception. There were pbs for both Tasha Paxton and Kathryn Colwell with Tasha second to Kiki at 100m in 12.98 secs and Kathryn second at 200m in 26.74 secs.

Useful results in the U15 Boys were Mark Malone, 3rd at 200m in 24.96, and Matthew Heaney, 3rd at 250m hurdles (sic) in 36.38. In the U15 800m, Mark Patterson had a pb of 2.17.64.
