The girls certainly enjoyed themselves and came back with most of the gravy. Amy Foster won the senior womens 100m with a good time for a domestic meeting of 12.15 secs. Later on, she did the same at 200m in 24.89 secs. Hannah Lewis won the U15 200m and the U16 100m with a 100m pb of 12.91 secs while Kim Shaw had an electric pb of 42.60 secs in winning the U18 300m. Erin Mullan had a 2nd at a strange 80m hurdles, a race that was rather hard to justify for someone who races over 100m hurdles. Tasha Paxton and Kathryn Colborn had top three finishes at 100m and 200m in useful times that should set them up for the YAL Final.
The senior men got no favours from the seeding and John Saulters, Brendan McConville and Michael Dyer had relatively disappointing 400m races. However there was a pb for Scott McCauley of 14.63 at 100m hurdles and times that are probably seasons bests for Philip Browne and Tom Reynolds at 100m.
The meeting was well attended and probably deserves better than a six lane track with only five in a top seeded race. Heats and finals might have worked better.
