Athletes often have an affinity with a particular race and Jessica Craig seems to have that with the Ards 5 mile road race. She first came to a wider prominence a year ago when she won the womens race outright and this year she beat Jenny Walker’s Under 16 girls record with a time of 34.09 min. Kerry Iveston was close behind but could not match Jessica’s finish. Best of the men was Norman Wilson in 16th with 29.36 with James Agar and Gary Swinnerton one and three places behind.
