The AAA of England Aviva U20 and U23 Championships, incorporating the UK trials, took place at Bedford in blustery conditions over the weekend. Beth Wilson and Matthew Martin threw in the U20 Championships on Sunday. Beth took 5th in discus with 39.52m throw, marginally short of her pb in Bangor last Tuesday. Matthew added 0.8m to his pb with 58.95m in the U20 javelin. On Saturday in the U23 competition, BUSA long jump silver medallist Hannah Lewis had to settle for 6th with 5.67m.
