Another Friday evening, another local road race. This time it was the Greyabbey 10K and 5K, part of the NICSAA series. In the 10K Nick Irvine was the first club runner home in 20th place in 41:35 min. Gary Swenarton was 5 places back in 42:10 and was the 1st M60. In the 5K it was Showtime for the McMeechans. Jamie McMeechan was 2nd in 19:13 min with younger brother Craig McMeechan 4th in 19:17 and father David McMeechan 8th and 1st veteran in 21:08.

In miserable conditions on Saturday morning ParkRun at Victoria Park, Dennis Scott was 1st in 17:17 min while Josh Lowry was 3rd with a ParkRun pb of 17:46. Ange Perrott made it a double by winning the womens’ race in 20:04. Steve Wise ran 19:58, Tony Wall 20:02 and Janet Toal 27:46
In the Drinns Race at Tollymore, Terry Eakin made a rare return to a variation of fell running. In the 12K trail race, Terry was 28th in 62:04 min.
