Schools International Pentathlon

Hannah Lewis was the only Northern girl (Jason Harvey was the only Northern boy) in the Irish team at the Kelvin Hall in the Schools International Pentathlon. Hannah was in the winning Irish U16 Girls team which finished more than 550 points ahead of England with positions 1st, 2nd, 6th and 12th.

Hannah’s results were

Long Jump 5.20m (614 points)

60m Hurdles 9.84 sec (742 points)

High Jump 1.53m (655 points)

Shot 7.24m (350 points) pb

800m 2:32:64 (662 points)

Points for the Irish girls were Claire Rockall 3446, Harriet Cross 3350, Hannah Lewis 3021, Orla Finn 2910 for a combined score of 9817 with England 9265, Scotland 8926 and Wales 8468. England won the other three agegroups with Ireland 2nd at U18 Girls (Mairead Murphy 1st Individual), 3rd at U16 Boys (Jason Harvey was 4th) and 4th at U18 Boys.
