Most are mentioned in the Secretary”s report which can be read on this site and of course they were all mentioned on these pages during the year.

Richard Lockhart moves from Track and Field mens” Captain after two years but hands over to his brother Kris. James Budde remains as Cross Country/Endurance Captain. Gemma McAnirn is the new  Track and Field womens” Captain with the  Cross Country/Endurance womens” Captain to be announced later..Pat O”Driscoll, the Club Chairman complimented club teams, international and club athletes, coaches and officials. He urged parents and senior athletes to come forward and take coaching qualifications. He was delighted to see the club tracksuit so much in evidence and praised the club website and the Committee, singling out the events promoted throughout the year.

Typically his closing remark was Finally but not least I compliment the Club on the tremendous improvement in participation on the Monday night training run involving proper runners aged from 14 to 70.  Every Monday I used to be the slowest of about 8 runners.  It is a tribute to my character and the Club”s development that I am now the slowest of about 36!
