Twenty one club athletes with an age range of 14 to 65+ contested the Smith Shield. The weather conditions were excellent though the off trail sections were a little tricky after earlier heavy rain. Mark Patterson had a great run to finish first with Niall Robinson and Michael Patterson second and third respectively. Hilary Kernaghan was first lady just ahead of Stephanie Hambling. Fastest actual time of the day 19.45 was recorded by one of our most recent recruits Nicklas Arkenspar. The Tuesday night torture sessions are obviously paying dividends!!
