The County Down District Schools for Inters and Seniors took place in good weather at Mary Peters Track on Friday with the big guns qualifying for the Ulster Schools. Some results were gleaned on the day though the list is far from comprehensive. In the Inter Girls Hannah Lewis won 200m and long jump with a big 5.53m. Kiki Malomo Paris won the 100m in 12.7 sec. Katie Hewitt won 300m hurdles in 46.4 and was 2nd in 80m hurdles in 12.4 sec. Jessica Craig was 2nd at 3000m in 12:38.5 and Lauren Scott was 2nd at 800m in 2:28.3. In the Senior Girls Amy Foster won 100m and 200m in 11.9 and 24.9 sec. Alison Lavery won high jump with 1.57m and 400m in 61.9. . Erin Mullan won 400m hudles and 100m hurdles in 75.0 and 17.7 sec. Nicola Simpson won 800m in 2:33.4. For the Inter Boys . David Keys won discus and hammer in 43.07m and 52.00m. Ben McDonnell won javelin with 45.00m. Robin Brown was 2nd in the 3000m in 9.38.0m . Grant Montgomery and Matt Heaney were 1st and 2nd in the 400m hurdles. Ryan Kerr won 100m in 11.4 sec and John Carlisle was 2nd at 800m in 2.06..In the Senior Boys Peter Glass won javelin in 46.81m, Scott McCauley won 110m hurdles in 16.6 plus the triple jump and Joe Kingsberry won discus in 33.85m.
