[Not a valid template]On the first day of the Age Group Championships for athletes born in 1992 and 1993, Conor McGrattan showed evidence of his throwing genes with pbs in shot and javelin. He was 3rd in the 1993 shot with 8.11m and won the javelin with 34.26m. Another good athlete doing well this season is Ulster Schools Champion Kerrie Craig who took silver at 1993 high jump with 1.40m. She also ran 13.46 in the final of the 75m hurdles but it was the 12.83 in the heats which was the massive pb. There was a bronze for Jack Campton, one of several athletes this year with an unlucky birthday that by-passes the U13 group in the YAL Jack waas 3rd at 1993 75m hurdles in a pb of 14.37. No medals for Mark Armstrong who had a very busy day but his 2:31.55 in the 800m final was a pb. Other athletes attending were Rachel Gregg, Clare Scott, Sarah Cartin, Jade Black and Annie McWilliams.
