Ben Reynolds stole the show at Antrim on a very wet Wednesday night at Jumps and Throws Meet No 2 in weather very different to that at Crawfordsburn the same evening. Out of sport for about two years with a painful coccyx and consequent loss of fitness but still U17, Ben cleared 1.76m to take the high jump as well as javelin in 35.39m. His older brothers were upstaged with Hibernian League winner Tom also clearing 1.76m and long jumping 5.96m and Luke, also a Hibernian winner at hurdles, long jumping 4.37m. The busiest athlete was Katie Hewitt who had 1.40m at HJ. 4.66m at LJ, 9.78m at triple jump and 20.59m at javelin. Matthew Heaney had 6.16m at U17 LJ, 1.50m at HJ and 30.92m at javelin while Conor McGrattan had 30.47m at U15 javelin and 15.30m at hammer. In the discus David Keys threw 41.35m and Jeremy Harper 41.11m.
