The club had two athletes at Knockdhu for the International Mountain Race. In the 4.7 mile 1470 ft International/Senior/Veteran race, Stephanie Hambling was 83rd in 57.03 min and was 18th woman (6th outside the international). In the shorter Junior Race, Kerry Iveston represented Northern Ireland and was 20th (8th girl, 2nd NI) in 32.07 min.Stephanie was not declared as a vet when entering the open race – a move which paid off big time when she won the open prize. Equally shrewdly she had run Hill and Dale Race No 4 two days earlier, finishing 65th in 30:35 min at the 1.7 mile 1740 ft Binnian to the top race. This time she was third woman – but first FV35.
