[Not a valid template]In the absence of nearby races at the weekend, a return to normality after the frantic holiday period and big cross country meets coming up, boom day for parkruns was likely. At least 22 North Down runners were among the 160 finishers at Victoria Park. With excellent conditions, several good performances and the club had 3 of the first 5 men and 4 of the first 6 women. Francis Marsh led the way with 2nd with Dennis Scott 4th and Stephen Wylie 5th and Lauren Scott and Jessica Craig crossed the line ahead in the girls with Rachel Gibson 4th and Katie Moore 5th.
It was the first local outing for University of Iowa student Lauren who returns from a Christmas break on Monday. Running along with Jessica, they appeared to finish together and had the same time of 18:35 min thogh Lauren was given 1st. Katie also had a good run in her first parkrun.
