An open 5K road race was held around the Racecourse at the Downpatrick Roller Coaster on Saturday ( the clue is in the title). For North Down, Gerry Coy was 6th in 18:49 min, Terry Eakin was 13th in 19:51 and Andrew Muir 15th in 20:00. With veteran categories set as O35, O45 and O55, Terry and Gerry did well to finish 1st and 2nd in the categories available to them. All 3 athletes were in road racing mode, having earlier warmed up at the parkrun in Victoria Park where they were joined by Michael Roberts and Angela Fawthrop.
