[Not a valid template]Well done to all the competitors who slogged their way through the mud on Wednesday in the Ulster Schools Cross Country Championships at the City of Belfast Playing Fields at Mallusk. Conditions were awful throughout, cold and with incessant rain. Top performances by North Down athletes came from Molly Brown (Glenlola) who was 4th in the opening mini girls race; [Not a valid template]from Katie Moore (Bloomfield)who was 4th in the senior girls race which validated the recent Ulster selection; from Charles Mcnutt (BGS) who was 12th minor boy; from Craig McMeechan (BGS) who was 14th in the junior boys and from Roger Dawson (Sullivan) who was 14th in the senior boys. Katie, Roger, Charles and Craig all go on to the Irish Schools.
Other athletes who had qualified for the Ulster Schools inluded Lauren Hamilton (Regent House), Chloe Johnston (Strathearn), Zara Mulholland (Glenlola), all who placed well.
