Julie Balmer finished a close 2nd in the womens section of the Albertville 5 mile road race – dipping under 30minutes in clocking 29:57 – with Ali Robinson 6th in 32:33. In the overall race, Dennis Scott came home first for North Down in 12th in a new pb of 27:35. Next home making a welcome return to racing was Nick Arkensparr in 25th in 29:31, with Fred Murdoch placing 86th in 37:18.
Gerry Coy continued his purple patch with a 17:58 parkrun pb at Victoria Park placing 3rd, with Terry Eakin 4th in 18:54. Chloe Johnston placed 3rd in the female section in a 22:27pb.
Michael Roberts placed well as 3rd M60 in the Meath spring half marathon in 98:32 (chip). At the Bath-half, Francis Marsh came home 53rd in the 11,000 strong field in 73:59 (chip)
