Chilly Queens 5K but NDAC Men take 2nd Team Prize

 

The Queens “Round the River” 5K took place on a chilly and darkening Wednesday along the Embankmnt. The North Down trio of  Dennis Scott, Stephen Wylie, 20^th  and 21^st  in 16:18 and  Michael Dyer, 23^rd in 16:29,  formed a tight group. Francis Marsh was close behind  in 16:29 and took the M45 prize. The reward for the good packing  came later when North Down AC mens team were placed 2nd in the 4-to-coiunt team race won by Anndadale Striders with North Belfast Harriers 3rd.  Marie Devine was the only club lady in the race and ran 23:46 min.

Lots of pbs were claimed though they should probabl be treated with caution at this stage. The same thing happened last year when times were well out of line with other events.
