It was pleasingly appropriate that North Down’s two big number crunchers should hit signigificant milestones in the same weekend. On Saturday morning at Victoria Park, Terry Eakin ran his 100th parkrun in 19:11 min and on Sunday morning at the Decathlon Half Marathon, Pat O’Driscoll ran his 50th half marathon.
Terry has taken part at all 7 northern Ireland parkrun venues and his 100 runs incude 40 out of the 101 held so far at Victoria Park and 12 at the Waterworks. On his regular trips to London, he has run in 35 at Wimbledon Common and 5 at parkrun birthpace in Bushey Park plus another in Richmond. Pat has run his races thrroughout the length and breadth of Ireland as well as exotic locations in Europe and America.
