The Country Parks Challenge Series opened on Wednesday evening when Ballydrain Harriers hosted the Scrabo Hill Race over a new course with a loop of the Killynether Park added. Paul Pollock and Michelle Sturm were the respective winners of the men and womens” races. James Budde had a good race and was 2nd after the first loop after which his back reminded him why he dropped hill running but he was still 4th. Kerry Iveston had a good run too and in the womens” race she was also 4th while Stephanie Hambling in 5th was first lady vet. Brian Barron was well placed in the Junior race and there was a good club turnout. The Challenge continues on Wednesday evening when we host the Crawfordsburn Trail Race.
