On Wednesday 24th July, nearly one hundred and fifty runners finished another local event, the annual Downpatrick RGU 10k road race, jointly hosted by East Down AC Brendan Teer (East Down) won in 33:17 min and Catriona McCorkell (Lagan Valley AC won the ladies race in 39:23. Brian Barron in 11th was 1st North Down in 37:57 and Pat O’Driscoll had a M65 category win in 55:47. Man of the moment Andrew Muir ran 43:14, John McGarvey 45:11 and Craig Thornberry 46:11.
