5th and last PowerNI Super 5 Meet of the Season

On Thursday, Lagan Valley AC hosted the fifth and last of their Power NI sponsored ‘Super 5’ meetings,  again with reasonable conditions.  This time the 200m and 800m races or their equivalents were the featured track  events and the North Down Fundamentals Group were present.  Flynne Longstaffe and Katie Kimber were the U11’s and at U13. Johnny Moore and Angus Christie, only a few months older had 3^rd’s for Johnny  in long jump and Angus in javelin. In the U13 girls Molly Longstaff won long jump and Murphy Miller was 2^nd at 800m. Reece Simpson was 2^nd in the U15 800m and Amy Kimber was 1^st and 2^nd in U15 discus and Javelin. Rachel Gibson was the only North Down senior athlete and she had a seasons best in a strong 500m where she was 4^th in 2:17.35.
