Men retain Team Trphy: Girls 3rd

A strong performance by the North Down men ensured that the club would retain the Northern Ireland Team Trophy  with early dominance established  by Curtis Woods and Adam McComb in the 100m and 200m, Mark Patterson and John Saulters at 400m and James Budde and Francis Marsh at 300m and steeplechase. Callum Hunter covered the jumps and Tom Reynolds the throws. A full=strength City of Derry  team won the womens trophy with the North Down girls just edged into 3rd but it was good to see a lot of the younger girls out.

The mens team basically lost interest when poor PA reception caused Callum to miss the hurdles and he was heavy-handedly suspended from the rest of the competition. With the lead assured and both relay teams now damaged that seemed a good time to apply the brake.
