Fred Murdock was the only North Down runner in the North West Cross Country Championship at Gransha Hospital, Derry, finishing the 6K course in 50th overall but first M60 with 27:13 min. Omagh Harriers took the Championship with Stephen Duncan and Noel Collins first and second. On Sunday the AAI Uneven Age Championships took place in a biting wind. Niall Robinson was 34th in the U19 Boys race. Lauren Scott showed continued improvement this season with 17th in the U19 girls. At Nork Park, Surrey, Francis Marsh came 13th in the South of the Thames championship to help Herne Hill win both the 6 & 12 to score trophies.
