North Down AC athletes won three of the four Athlete of the Match Awards in Match 2 at Round 1 of the Young Athletes’ League and the T shirts will be presented at Round 2. Peter Glass and Scott McCauley won Boys Track and Boys Field Awards for their respective performances at 110m hurdles and triple jump while Amy Foster took Girls Track at 100m. The Girls Field Award went to City of Derry shot putter Krystal Simpson.
Awards in Match 1 went to Robert McAvoy, Lisburn, 400m hurdles; Emmett McNulty, Lagan Valley, discus; Caroline Brown, Lisburn, 800m: Jenny Brown, Mid Ulster, shot.
As athletes can only win once during the Qualifying Rounds these athletes will be ineligible for further awards until the Northern Ireland Final.
