Two club members featured in the tiny team representing Belfast in the semi final round of the Inter City Indoor Challende in Cardiff on Saturday. Hannah Lewis did the 200m and long jump, running an indoor pb of 25.39 sec for 3rd in the 200m. She had 4th with 5.58m in the long jump posting a consistent series of 5.28, 5.41, 5.58, 5.43, 5.33, 5.39m. Luke Reynolds who is studying in Cardiff was 4th in the 60m hurdles in 8.48 sec. Also on Saturday Amy Foster won the 60m at the Birmingham Games in 7.57 secs afterv winning the semi final in 7.63 sec. At the same meeting Philip Browne was 5th in his 60m heat in 7.25 secs just outside his season"s best and was 12th in the long jump with 5.74m. In Carfiff on Sunday Kerrie Craig jumped 1.50m for Irish Schools.
In the Inter City Challenge the small Belfast team was predictably last with the best performance from Kerry Harty who won the 1500m in 4:22.30 min. A new pb, that performance won her the "Athlete of the Match" and £75 worth of Adidas trainers.
