There were 178 finishers on Friday evening for the Les Jones 10K which was won by Paul Rowan in 32:25 min from Alan McCullough in 32:37 min, Rona Harken taking the womens race in 39:38 min. For North Down Mark Weir showed rapidly improving form by finishing 33rd in 39:38 min with Gary Swenarton 57th in 41:02 min. Thomas Simpson ran well, fading a little at the end, but was 54th in 41:15 min wkile Brian Smith was 68th in 43:26 min. Gary was first M55 and Brian was second M60.
