Hannah Lewis ran 24.76 secs for 200m and long jumped 5.85m at the Irish Schools Championsips in Tullamore. Apart from being obvious pbs and a club long jump record, subject to confirmation, the 200m time exceeds the consideration standard of 24.80m for the Commonwealth Youth Games and the jump brings her nearer to the standard of 5.95m. At 800m where the standard is 1:54.00, Mark Patterson ran a pb of 1:54.98 min. Ben Reynolds already has the high jump standard and though he easily won the 110m hurdles in 14.62 sec, he was fractionally outside the 14.60 sec standard.
In other senior events, Ben Reynolds high jumped 2.00m, Kiki Malomo Paris ran 12.74 sec for 100m, Katie Hewitt ran 16.15 sec and 65.29 sec for 100m and 400m hurdles, Kim Shaw ran 59.27 sec for 400m, Lauren Scott ran 2:20.93 min for 800m. In the intermediates, Laura McKeown long jumped 5.22m, Katie Dickson triple jumped 10.74m and Kathy Hetherington threw discus 25.74m. Sarah Newell won the junior javelin with 32.66m while Karl Lamont threw 41.31m in the itermediate javelin.
