[Not a valid template]Saturday saw the start of a great weekend of weather at Antrim when the Northern Ireland and Ulster U14 and U15 Championships ( those born 1995 and 1994) were held. Unlike the last three or four years North Down had a good turnout in these year groups and there were also a full squad from Glenlola. Louis Atkinson at 1994 hammer and Glen Willis at 1995 javelin were the weekend”s first gold medallists. Louis was also 4th at discus as well as 7th at shot and Glen was also 6th at 1500m. Claire Pollock had 3rd and 4th at 100m and 200m, Roger Dawson had 4th and 5th at 1500m and high jump and Michael McComb 4th and 7th at long jump and 200m.The highly individualistic selection of events was also demonstrated by Jessica Ross 4th, 7th and 8th at 800m, 100m and long jump and Harry Speers (5th, 8th and 18th at 75m hurdles, 1500m and long jump) while Chloe Brown and Hollie Webster featured well at high jump.
