[Not a valid template]The advent of daylight saving brings evening races and despite wind, rain and probably Saharan sand, there was a strong field and a good turnout on Wednesday for the Queens “Round the River” 5K. NDAC had shedful of finishers with good overall results and the race counted in the North Down Grand Prix Series. James Budde led the club runners with 7th overall in 15:51 min. The mens team of four was 3rd to Annadale and North Belfast with Stephen Wylie 16:08, Dennis Scott in16:30 and Francis Marsh 16:42. Francis was 3rd M45 while Terry Eakin and Pat O’Driscoll were 2nd at M60 and M65 respectively. The girls team looked a bit thin beforehand but they ran brilliantly and were 2nd team, just missing out to Lagan Valley in the team of four contest. Rachel Gibson led them and was 6th in a strong ladies field in 18:16. Young Jessica Scott the came in at 20:14, Catherine Roberts in 21:05 and the even younger Anna Scott 21:15 with Catherine and Anna both on a 21:00 chiptime. Jessica was 3rd U20 and Catherine 3rd F40.
