Three North Down athletes were named in the Ireland teams to contest the European Cup on the 21st and 22nd June. The women"s team compete in Leira, Portugal in the 1st League Group A with Amy Foster in the 4 x 100m relay team and running 200m. The men"s team compete in the 2nd League Group A in Tallin, Estonia with Jeremy Harper named in the discus and Michael McConkey in the javelin. It will be the first time Jeremy and Michael have competed for Ireland thogh both have very recent experience in the European Champion Clubs Cup, a competition which in format closely resembles the European Cup.
