Three club athletes competed for Ireland over the weekend in the European Cup "B" Division. In the womens match in Leira, Portugal, Amy Foster was 8th in the 200m in 24.26 sec (+1.0) and ran n the 4th placed 4 x 100m relay. In the mens match in Tallinn, Estonia, Jeremy Harper was 6th in the discus with 46.17m and Michael McConkey was 8th in the javelin with 57.45m. In Bedford at the AAA U20 Championships, Hannah Lewis"s wretched luck with weather was true to form with a very blustery, wet day. Hannah was 7th in the long jump with a best of 5.69m.
