In the Aviva UK Trials at Birmingham, Eva Massey was 5th in the shot with her only scoring throw of 15.20m.The Welsh U20 Championships took place at Deeside on Saturday with Ben Reynolds winning the 110m hurdles in14.63 sec (+1.4). Though he won easily, his time was marginally outside the Commonwealth Youth Games consideration standard whiich he already has for high jump. In the Citri International Combined Events Meeting at Hexham on Saturday and Sunday, Tom Reynolds was 8th with 6605 points and Peter Glass was 9th with 6555 points.

Tom"s scores were 100m 11.54 sec (744 pts), long jump 6.65m (732), shot 12.02m (608), high jump 1.80m (627), 400m 51.16 sec (762), 110m hurdles 15.57 sec (782), discus 36.34m (591, pole vault 4.00m (617),  javelin 47.28m (548) and 1500m 4:54.09 min (594). Peter had 100m 11.66 sec (719), long jump 6.75m (755), shot 12.24m (621), high jump 1.92m (731), 400m 52.30 sec (712), 110m hurdles 15.66 sec (772), discus 37.13m (606), pole vault 4.20m (673),  javelin 46.20m (533) and 1500m 5:23.45 min (432).  In what could be his last competition, Dean Macey had a good first day but failed in his attempt to make the Olympiv qualifying standard having picked up a groin strain in the long jump on Saturday..
