Amy Foster took a large chunk off her personal best at the Memorial Leon Buyle Flanders Cup meeting in Belgium on Saturday. After her two great sprints at the AAI Championships, Amy’ chance of a 100m pb was lost at the start line but she finished strongly to get on the podium finishing second in 11.86 secs. Amy came back strongly in the 200m, running below 24 sec for the first time. Her 5th place finish in in 23.75 sec (-0.2) is within the Irish qualifying standards for next year’s European under 23 championships.
