Day 3 of the AAI Juvenile champs in Tullamore saw Chloe Johnston set a 59.81 pb for 5th in the U18 girls final after coasting 60.96s in her earlier heat. Murphy Miller also set a pb in placing 6th in 1:47.86 in the U13 girls 600m.
On Day 4 Michael Gaffney took an impressive gold in the U17 javelin with a best 2nd round throw of 53.16m (just short of his pb). Aaron Sexton took silver in the U15 with 23.45 into a -0.9 headwind after qulifying for the final with 2nd (23.96) in his earlier heat. Reece Simpson made his debut in an AAI champs and ran a solid 4:36.80 for 13th in the U17 1500m final. Beth Crosbie, competing for Strathearn Hish School threw the hammer out to 24.77m for 6th in the U16 girls hammer.
