The CAU Inter Counties Championships took place on Sunday and Monday in Bedford. Brendan McConville was 5th in the pole vault with4.60m. Jeremy Harper was 7th in the discus with a throw of 47.19m. Peter Glass ran a PB in the semis and narrowly missed the final with his 15.22 sec for 110m hurdles. They were there as part of a smallish Northern Ireland team managed by John Saulters. John again assembled a team which though small was useful and contained a good mix of established and developing athletes. The highlight was a win in the 5000m by Kerry Harty who was defending a title she also won last year.
