At Tullamore on Sunday in the Woodies DIY U20 and U23 Championships, the Trials for Irish selection in the European Junior & U23 Championships, Mark Patterson was 5th in the U20 400m in 50.31 sec, a club U20 record for the event. Mark has achieved the consideration standard for 800m several times and dropped his distance to 400m looking for speed work and the possibility of a place in the 4 x 400m relay squad. Niall Robinson was 3rd in the 800m in 1:54.65 min and Lauren Scott also 3rd in the girls 800m in 2:18.7 min hand-timed. In the U23 100m Amy Foster was 2nd in a hand-timed 12.0 sec.
