Stormont by Torchlight

Several club members were among the 1500 or so runners at Stormont on Wednesday evening for the annual ‘Run in the Dark’ 5k and 10k races. These were part of a worldwide series of events to raise funds to aid spinal injury patients. Cities involved included Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Manchester and London, all in torchlight. In the 5K, Jodi Smith was 3rd lady and 21st overall in 22:14 min while Zara Mullholland ran 24:59 and Oscar Yandall 25:45. In the 10K, best club runner was Ben Caughers who was 4th in an excellent 37:31 min. Sarah Benton was 8th lady in 46:48 and Jill Aicken 11th in 47:21. Andrew Muir returned from injury to run 48:44 for 141st.
