Mark Patterson finished 2nd in his semi-final 800m heat in 1:51.37 and qualifies for the final at the Euro-junior champs tomorrow. Mark felt reasonably good in his heat the day before when easing through the final 50m, but expected thing to be much tougher in the semi. Mark was last at the bell in 55/56secs and couldn"t find away through until the last 200m when a gap started to open on the inside. Mark went for it and the gamble paid off.
