The planned Brown vs. Marsh 3k didn"t materialise as the organisers seeded Francis Marsh into the slow "b" 3000m race (advertised at 8:52+) , which he won in 9:08.58 – front running solo for the 2nd 1500m. Robin Brown made good use of the "a" race in setting another sub 9min clocking, with 8:56.84 in 16th place.
