The weather was decent after the recent poor spell and there was a good turnout with quite a few visitors though inevitably on a club night the home athletes predominated. For once there was excellent competition in the high jump with a good U17 battle between Kerrie Craig and Irish U16 champion Emily Rogers of St Peters AC (the County Louth club). In the U15 event 12 year old Alex Catherwood had a huge pb to win with 1.45m. Another pb came in the U15 javelin where Matthew Stockton threw 38.82m, more than Matthew Martin was throwing a year ago. The category prizes went to Ellie Anna Hull, Holly Fair and Glen Willis from North Down, Cydnie McCullough from Lisburn and Craig Hamilton from Regent House.
