Saturday in Bedford was a miserable day weatherwise at the AAA U23 and U20 Championships which had to be temporally suspended due to heavy rain and were also subject to strong gusts. At U23 level Michael Dyer ran a good 800m heat in 1:53.60 to finish 2nd. He qualified for the final where he finished 7th in 1:56.12. Also at U23 level Jeremy Harper finished 6th in the discus with a good throw of 45.15m. He then left to travel to Dublin and the second day of the Irish Senior Championships.
