[Not a valid template]The Spring road racing season opened in appropriate weather for the Albertville 5 mile race in Duncrue Industrial Estate. Jordan Neil was best for North Down in 9th position with Nick Arkensparr 25th and Ian Atkinson 47th. Gary Swenarton and Norman Lellyett had age category wins in the over 55 and over 60 groups. Lynne Wilson was 1st club lady from Debbie Matcett and Jill Dowie while Jessica Craig was 1st U18 girl. The race was won by Paul Rowan from Dave Morwood with Mary Margaret Meade taking the womans race from Ann Paul. Willowfield won the mens teams from North Belfast and Lagan Valley won the womens teams from North Down.
North Down results were Jordan Neil 9th 27:10 min; Nicklas Arkensparr 25th 28:45; Ian Atkinson 47th 30:29; Gary Swenarton 61st 31:55 (1st M55); Norman Lellyett 72nd 33:14 (1st M60); Lynne Kerr 75th 33:33; Debbie Matchett 83rd 34:06; Fred Murdock 89th 34:56; D Houston 97th 35:28; Jill Dowie 112nd 37:45; Jessica Craig 124th 41:31 (1st U18 girl). The North Down girls with 30 points were 2nd in the their team race to Lagan Valley with 25 points.
