North Down AC legend Allison O’Neill, now in the veteran ranks and running for Ranelagh, followed up her 5th place in the Northern Ireland Senior Cross Country by leading the NI Senior Women home at Nottingham in the Inter Counties/World Cross Country Trials on 6th March.
Allison was 28th in 29.47 over the 8K Senior race, ahead of several seasoned GB internationals. The race was covered by Sky Television.
Allison still holds all North Down AC records from 800m to 3000m, the latter a NI record for several years.
