Antrim Games

For the second consecutive Saturday, Antrim was dry but very windy with strong headwinds in the home straight at the Ballymena and Antrim Anniversary Meeting. Amy Foster ran 12.40 for 2nd in the 100m with Anna Boyle 1st in 11.85 and Clare Bergin of DSD 3rd in 12.42. The same three also featured in the 200m with Anna Boyle 1st in 24.84, Clare Bergin 2nd in 25.20 and Amy 3rd in 25.50. Paul Hession also did the sprint double.

James Budde ran the 1500m and went through 800m in 2:10 but the strong wind took its toll and he finished 6th 1n 4:14.20. The race was won by Irish Schools favourite David McCarthy in 3:58.88 from Dominic McAllister in 3:59.01 and Damien Thillaye de Boullay in 4:07.58

There weren’t many field events but they were good. Caolan Flanagan high jumped 2.05m and at long jump Leslie Leung jumped 7.12m while Southern visitor jumped 7.53m.
