On a busy weekend for road racing, the Armagh 10 miles race was held on Sunday, conditions being wet and windy. Even though there was a clash with RunHer and the Relay Championships were held on Saturday, there was a good club representation and there were category wins for Roberta Dornan at F35 and Lynn Kerr at F45. Andrea Thompson has recently joined the club (welcome Andrea) but had entered before joining so is shown as unattached. Full marks to the organisers who recognised Pat O’Driscoll’s contribution to the sport and gave him an appropriate running number.
In other recent results, Pat O’Driscoll was 230th in the Causeway Coast Half Marathon in 2 44 06 and 85th of 141 in the Glenn 10K in 54.00, hilly and wet. Charlie Quinn participated in the Wallace Park Relays at Lisburn on Saturday, 1st October. He ran as a junior in the 3000m open race. His time for this race was 11 mins and 59 secs, one place behind North Down legend Paul Curran in 11:50.
