The two Gerrys, O”Boyle and Coy, led the way and Lynne Kerr was high up in the womens race but what caught the eye on Saturday at Ballynahinch was the re-appearance of Mark Weir in a North Down vest. Always a prodigy in his junior days, Mark switched to football in his twenties and spent thirteen years in the game. Then came a frustrating year out with injuries, not to mention parental duties, but he is now back and running. John McGarvey, Ken Hawtin, Diane Keys and Pat O”Driscoll all ran in Ballynahinch too.
